Time and Money – Grade 2 Math Help Measuring Time and Money By Stuart Ackerman In grade 2 math, your child will learn how to measure time and money. Your child will learn how to read and measure time on a clock and use coins to measure money. Your child will learn: · the relationship between minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years · to estimate and measure time · tell time using analog and digital clocks · to identify coins by denomination and name · solve simple problems involving money and time Your child should be familiar with the appropriate vocabulary related to grade 2 measurements of time and money such as: · minute · hour · day · week · month · year · digital · analog · quarter · half How you can help your child at home: 1. Have your child simply tell you the numbers that are on a digital clock. For example, “nine twenty-two”.
