     Your child will learn:

·       to measure area with square units

  •  to describe the movement of shapes on a grid

Your child should be familiar with the appropriate vocabulary related to grade 3 area and grids such as:

·       measure

·         area

  •   square unit

How you can help your child at home:

  1. Show your child an example of a floor plan or a map to show area.

The more practice your child has with grade 3 area and grids the better his or her area and grid skills will become.
